Imlah: What a day ………

Kitagwa primary school is such a peaceful beauty spot.

Although they may not possess the latest equipment or educational resources, the children are so bright its unbelievable. We started our linking session today and had the kids from the UK call us to speak to the pupils of Kitagwa and they loved it.

The Kenyan children were so happy to be part of such an exercise and as most of them had never used a mobile phone before it was an experience for us all!

The group made cards to send back to England and they showed off there artistic flair and joy when presented with the equipment we purchased yesterday from the stationary and arts supply store. The cards were good and so were the messages the kids are so interested in the differences in cultures its refreshing.

After lunch, I presented the children with some footballs (various sizes), one for each key stage, they didn’t waste no time getting into a game of scrimmage. It was a sight, so much happiness through play, it was wonderful. Cant wait for tomorrow everyday jus gets better and better.
